Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. has struck a deal with Reliance Communications Ltd. to use the latter’s pan India optical fibre network to roll out its 4G services. Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries owned RJIL(Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd) is the only company to have a pan India 4G license. It is believed that the companies 4G services will be a game changer in the broadband market segment.
4G services in India:
For now Bharti Airtel is only offering 4G services in some cities in India for which it has obtained license. They recently started offering 4g services at the price of 3G in its Bangalore circle. However it worked only for Iphone 5c and 5s models. Since RIL owned RJIL has a pan India license the price war will be something to watch.
4G speed offered by Reliance:
Reliance 4G speeds are expected to be around 10-12 times the current 3G speeds. Reliance believes to deliver an optimal speed of 49Mbps. Airtel is currently offering speed of 40Mbps. This speed may be behind what 4G speeds are offering around the world. Australia tops 4G speeds which has crossed 60Mbps. Reliance 4G speeds would mean downloading a 1Gb file in mere 3-4minutes.
Reliance 4G Launch in September:
Reliance 4G is expected to be launched in September this year. The much awaited 4G services will be on offer this Diwali. RJIL has been planning this launch carefully and consumers will be eager to know what is on offer.

The last time when Reliance Industries stepped in the CDMA market (then the companies were not divided) it had changed the market dimension with its plans and offers.
RJIL is said to be tapping its options to offer budget 4G LTE handsets by partnering with handset makers like Samsung and ZTE. If the roll out of Reliance 4G services happens as being rumored, it will surely bring a revolution to the way internet is used in India.
The trials and tests are in progress. Lets hope the waiting period for the much hyped Reliance 4G launch happens this September.
