How can you Keep your Facebook Account Secured:
In this virtual world you need to keep your Facebook Account Secured. Please follow the steps below to keep your Facebook account secured:
1) Strong Password:
It is the most basic thing that you need to do. Your passwords should contain numbers, alphabets and symbols. I recommend more use of symbols with some letters in cap for eg. p@$$w0rD$. It is the first and foremost important to have a strong password. If you don’t have one you can change it by going into settings ->General ->Password.
2) Your birth year should be “Private”:
Everybody likes to be wished on birthdays. So you can keep your birth date public but the year private. The reason behind it is the most common security question asked by banks, cell phone and credit card companies for few. So you should not be opening the answer for public.
3) Facebook apps password:
The password for Facebook apps need to be different from your primary account password. You could do this by going to Settings -> Security -> App Passwords. You can set unique passwords for each app from here.
4) Facebook posts just for friends:
Keep your posts just for yourself and friends don’t open it for public. Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Who can see my stuff? -> Who can see your future posts?
You can also get your previous posts from “public” posts to “Friends”.
5) Code Generator:
For those using unsecured networks or public networks this can be a secured solution. The Code Generator creates a unique login code every 30 seconds. It is part of Facebook app for mobile. It works without being connected to the internet. If you have turned on login approvals, you can use Code Generator instead of waiting for a text message with your login code.
